The HOLY DAYS of Leviticus ch.23

The "APPOINTED TIMES" of YHWH continues...  

            This early-fall Holy Day Season draws our attention to prophecy.. It may not occur to many people today, but up to this Holy Day season Yahshua through His physical life, spiritually fulfilled, all the Heavenly symbolism of spring season Holy Days, precisely. He was crucified on Passover, buried on Unleavened Bread, raised on Firstfruits, and He had sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Four coincidences are really hard to explain away, thereby confirming that YAHWEH is in control and there is hope for the future!  (Click for more info. on Messianic prophecies: Prophecy Page)

            The world is already into the third act of a spiritual opera that is headed toward its inevitable conclusion. The first Christians kept the Feasts (Act.18:21, 20:16; 1Cor.5:7-8), and it is the hope of the church that the next time they meet the Messiah it will be on this next Holy Day. It will be a long growing season until the fall harvest season. Now in this Age of Grace, we are living in the spiritual interlude between Holy Days, keeping the Feasts, watching and waiting for the physical fulfillment of the large early-fall harvest.

            Yahshua gave a hint to this timing recorded in Matthew 24:32-33, "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near; at the doors!" (The fig tree represents Israel.)

The DAY of TRUMPETS

ATTENTION: Global announcements from Heaven are imminent!!! 

  This new moon day is a very important because it starts the fall Holy Day season, and is observed on the 1st day of the 7th new moon, Lev.23:23-25; (Hebrew: Yom Teru'ah or the Day of Shouting). Technically speaking, the new moons are not Holy periods, but this Holy convocation begins on the 1st day of the month. 

Watch for the new moon of the seventh month,

then blow the shofar's (ram's horn), or trumpets - it's a wake up call!!!

 Trumpets have a Messianic prophetic meaning. They were also used as an alarm for impending warfare or Divine judgment.  And this Holy Day beginning with the sounding of the trumpet pictures the time when the Messiah intervenes in world affairs of humanity after a time of great tribulation, so great that “. . . people’s hearts will fail them because of their fears” (Luk.21:26; Mat.24:29-31; Rev.1:7).  The Messiah will return to Earth with His army to prevent the worldwide self-destruction of humanity, and proclaims liberty throughout the planet, (1Ths.4:16). 

            Sometime in the future, at the sign of the 7th moon, the shofar's will sound the alarm when YAHWEH returns to Earth and stops the warring factions in the last great battle between good and evil (Rev.20:7-9). Then HE will begin preparations for the Great White Throne Judgment.  All the people who were not called by the Messiah will be called from their graves. Then the spirits of a-l-l humanity will be assembled. Because they died laboring under a false -satanic - education system, they will all be informed of the truthful  circumstances, and readied to give account of their lives. (A nice parable of the final Judgment is in the Books of Hermas, Similitude VIII.)

        The fearsome day of 'reckoning' is at hand! (Gen.9:5.)  For angel and human alike, this is a very serious day. It is the day to forgive and forget. In Hebrew it is called Yom Kippur, on the 10th day of the 7th new moon, is the day to repent and cleanse the spirit and soul, through a 24-hour commanded fast (Lev.23:26-32). Repenting is a three step process, Ps.ch.51. Also, DO NOT brag about it, or walk around with a sad countenance to show off your fast and sacrifice, (Mat.6:16-18). 

• The theme: GOD allows U-turns! 

• The goal: Peace with others, GOD, and yourself! 

• The motto: The best way to get even is to forget!  

• Turn to your CREATOR and afflict your soul, repent, confess, forgive-and-be-forgiven!

"If My people who are called by My name 

will humble themselves, 

and pray and seek My face, 

and turn from their wicked ways, 

then I will hear from heaven, 

and will forgive their sin 

and heal their land.  - 2Chr.7:14

 Here in America, for a country based on 'unalienable' GOD-given-rights, it should be a national day of fasting and repentance (2Chr.7:14). And the money saved on food during the fast day, donate it to your local food bank, and watch the blessings grow.

 Sometime in the future, almost tomorrow, after the conquering Messiah comes to Earth and neutralizes the warring nations, all the prisoners will be set free, and the reckoning of the Messiah is at hand. On this day, He will judge the nations of the world before establishing His Millennium Kingdom (Mat.25:31-46; Rev.19:11-21). (The haters, the predator's, and the war-mongers will not do well.)

            Sometime in the future, after the thousand-year Kingdom of the Messiah, YAHWEH’S 'reckoning' is at hand. GOD is watching us!  Known as The Great White Throne Judgment, YAHWEH will open the Books of Life, and then HE will judge a-l-l humanity and the angels (Rev.20:11-15; 2Pet.2:4). HE will finally destroy the dark powers and begin preparations to cleanse the Earth from the curse of sin.  Or as the ancient rabbis would say, on this day, sometime in the future, the future of every individual would be sealed, and the gates of Heaven would be closed. 

            The festival begins, (Hebrew: Hag Ha-Sukkot or the Feast of Booths), on the 15th day of the 7th new moon, for seven days (Lev.23:33-44).  The Passover season teaches the faithful about our CREATOR’S peace and protection - if we accept it. The Feast of Pentecost teaches about our CREATOR’S knowledge and power - we should respect it. And now the season of Tabernacles teaches us our CREATOR’S rest - if we want to keep it.

            This Holy Day is an outdoor event, and after dancing in the streets, we then come home to rest in YAHWEH’S shelter - built of organic technology.  Today devout Jews still worship in temporary structures called Sukkots.  It is something like a little “lean-to” built outside against a wall of the house, or in backyards or patios.  The Sukkot is decorated in a fun and festive atmosphere which represents our CREATOR’S shelter in the world to come.  They are built of tree branches and palm leaves.  The inside is decorated party-style, with a small table and some chairs or large pillows to relax on after dancing hard in the streets.

            Yahshua was believed to have been born during this period, Jno.1:14. It is a time to rejoice because the Messiah is now with us - spread the good news!

 We should all pray for the peace of Jerusalem!  Today, there is a place where all Christians and Messianic Believers are represented in their spiritual capital, it is "The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem." Foreshadowing the prophecy of Zec.14:16-19, during Tabernacles, they organize thousands of Christians representing 90 nations to participate in a parade of Davidic style song and dance through the streets of Jerusalem, (Ps.149-150).  When the Messiah establishes His rule, a-l-l surviving humanity is reborn into the Messianic Kingdom of a thousand years, ushered in with a literal one year rest for the planet and all it’s inhabitants, beginning on this day.  "...for my yoke is easy and burden is light." Mat.11:28-30. Time to rejoice!

             Sometime in the future, our CREATOR will once again dwell amongst HIS creation. Before setting up HIS everlasting Kingdom under the rule of the Messiah, humanity will be protected in our FATHER'S house while the Earth is cleansed, and once again renewed, from the curse of Sin, Rev.21:1.

            This Holy Day continues the period of supreme happiness.  The Last great day (Hebrew: Shemini Atzeret or the 8th Day of Assembly), is observed on the 8th day of the Tabernacles festival, Lev.23:36. Stay true to your righteous faith until the end or "you will not enter HIS rest" (Heb.3:7-19).

            Here we see another cleverly crafted spiritual lesson as this Holy Day reflects the creation week. The previous six high-Holy convocations were centered on work, this, the last Holy festival, symbolically represents the Sabbath day’s rest in YAHWEH’S Kingdom (Rev.ch.21-22:1-5). 

            The Holy Day pictures the ‘last day’ of this Earthly existence under the Curse of Sin; and it is ‘great day’ because we are beginning a new life in the Kingdom.  In ancient Jerusalem, the day was celebrated with the Festival of Lights emanating from the Temple - it was a wonder to behold.  For a short history of this day click to the Festival of Lights.

On this day, under the Messiah, the surviving nations will return to their lands and humanity will enter into the Millennium Kingdom of the Messiah. 

 

The Kingdom brings 

a new dawn over Earth, 

as the universe awaits

for the revealing of 

the Children of YHWH 

of New Earth.  

Now, when all the people 

have been made spirit, 

when all things will be made new, 

all the mysterious wonders of the universe will be revealed.  

It truly is, a great day!
