On the 15th day, A Time To Rejoice \o/ - Days of Tabernacles / The Last Great Day

“These are the feasts of the Lord,

holy convocations

which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.” - vs.4

 

“The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be

the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord.”  -

 

Humanity is entering the final acts of our CREATOR’S grand spiritual opera and it begins on the 15th day of the 7th Biblical month.  These last two Holy Days have such wonderful spiritual symbolism and it is a real tragedy that their meanings have been hidden or lost all these centuries – even most of the Jewish world has forgotten their true meanings.  Sometime in the future, it is on these last two Holy Days that humanity will finally enjoy their Covenant rewards, and it begins on the 15th day of the 7th Biblical month (Tuesday, Oct. 2, begins on the eve of the 1st).  In English it is known as the Holy Days of Tabernacles, called in Hebrew, Hag Ha-Sukkot (Lev.23:33-44).  And on the 8th day of the Tabernacles Festival (Tuesday, Oct. 9), is the last Holy Day called the Last Great Day, Hebrew. Sheimini Atzert, (Lev.23:36).  They are combined to be the most joyous time of the year.  It is an 8-Day festival, a time to be merry, and give thanks.  Rejoice!  Dance!  Be Happy!  HalleluYAH!  We are under our FATHER's protection and our reward is at hand! 

“Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous!

For praise from the upright is beautiful.

Praise the Lord with the harp;

make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.

Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.”

Generally YHWH’s Holy Days are home worship events, in ancient Jerusalem the Faithful might have paid their respects at the Temple, but afterwards they continued their worship at home with family and friends.  This Holy Day week is different.  Here we go out into the streets and rejoice with the community.  Sometime in the future, after the return of the Messiah, it will be a weeklong global block party - as the whole world will honor YHWH and Yahshua.

The Tabernacles Festival illustrates a temporary protection while permanent arrangements are made.  To symbolize this, observant Jews worship in temporary structures called sukkots.  It is something like a little “lean-to” built outside against a wall of the house, or in backyards or patios, and it looks a little like the nativity manger.  The sukkot is decorated in a fun and festive, organic atmosphere.  They are built of tree branches and palm leaves.  The inside is decorated party-style, with a small table and some chairs or large pillows to relax on after dancing hard in the streets.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;

 teaching and admonishing one another

in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Most know that sending the Messiah (the innocent lamb, who would be the redeemer to cancel the debt of sin) was one of YHWH’s original Covenant promises first given to Adam and then again to Noah.  Isn’t it a coincidental date that on the 15^th day of the 1^st month (Days of Unleavened Bread), Yahshua exactly fulfilled His mission as the suffering Messiah when He was put to death and buried.  Now here on the 15^th day of the 7^th month Yahshua will fulfill His role as the conquering Messiah when He ushers in the Millennium Kingdom of peace - YHWH keeps HIS Covenant promises.  (It is interesting to note, the 7^th unit of time is also considered Divine.  The seventh day is a Sabbath.  The seventh year is a Sabbath year.  Seven times seven years, is a Jubilee year.  Is it a coincidental date that the seventh millennium is a Sabbath millennium under YHWH’s Messiah, Yahshua?) 

“And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth

do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts,

on them there will be no rain.

If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in,

they shall have no rain;

they shall receive the plague

with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up

to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

This shall be the punishment of Egypt

and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up

to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.”

– Zechariah 14:17-19

Critical thinking is a lost art.  Oftentimes when I talk about the Biblical Holy Days, many people look at me a little puzzled and ask, “aren’t those the Jewish holidays, what does it have to do with us?”  It is the preprogrammed – knee jerk - response from most of the Christian world because their leadership teaches that the Old Testament is for the Jews and the New Testament is for the Christians - they couldn't be further from the truth.  The above Bible verse clearly states that during the Millennium Kingdom of the Messiah, a-l-l the nations of the world will celebrate the Holy Days of Tabernacles – not just the Jews.  (One would think, since the Bride will be the Messiah’s helper during the Millennium that they would know more about it – but Satan has been busy.)  As a matter of fact, this Holy Day is so important to the Messiah that if the nations of the world do not come to Jerusalem to honor it then there will be dire consequences.  What does that mean you might wonder?  It doesn’t mean that Yahshua will send in the military jets and bombers, the Messiah will have the power to control nature and He will simply stop the rain, and/or bring some very uncomfortable plaques on them.  Then people will become unhappy and they will want their leadership to comply with the Messiah’s requests.

a great scientist and a student of prophecy stated:  

“About the time of the end,

a body of men will be raised up

who will turn their attention to the prophesies

and insist upon their literal interpretation

in the midst of much clamor and opposition.”

Many folks hear me and wonder, is it courage or naiveté to put myself out there and kindle what I hope will be constructive debate.  My focus is intellectual honesty, not defense of tradition (Act.17:11).  What I mean by that is that some traditions are good, and some are wrong and need correction.  But that doesn’t mean we all must march in formation like the Romans.  YHWH calls HIS people to unity, not uniformity, and the Holy Days of Tabernacles are a good example.  Today this example is played out by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem.  They sponsor an annual Tabernacles parade through the streets of Jerusalem in which many nations participate.  To see the variety of colorful ethnic costumes, the different flags, and variety of people, is a beautiful thing to behold.  The idea is, that we all celebrating the same Holy Day, but we all bring our unique cultural style and prayers to the event.

Spiritually, it is about time to let intellectual honesty prevail and agree that all the Holy Days listed in Leviticus ch.23 are universal; as I have outlined all year, their spiritual depth is undeniable, and they are more than just Jewish tradition – they light our Ancient “Hebrew” Path.  If we watch these annual Holy Days we see their multilevel interlocking spiritual lessons pointing to YHWH’S Kingdom.  We acknowledge the Holy Days out of respect to our CREATOR.  And sometime in the future, almost tomorrow, Yahshua will be teaching a-l-l humanity their higher spiritual lessons.  Understanding the lessons will bring humanity peace.  Peace of the mind, peace of the heart, peace for the growth of the spirit, peace in our house, peace in our communities, and peace in our nations.

I often say, one cannot fully understand prophecy until one learns YHWH's Holy Days, because the Holy Days teach us prophecy and YHWH’s Heavenly designed prophetic timetable affecting the entire world.  If we learned our Holy Day lessons correctly, the Passover season teaches us about our CREATOR’S peace and protection - if we accept it.  The Feast of Pentecost, Trumpets, and Atonement, teaches us about our CREATOR’S knowledge and power - we should respect it.  And now the prophetic season of Tabernacles teaches us about our CREATOR’s rest - if we want to keep it.

All of YHWH’s prophetic spiritual lessons come together in this early-fall Holy Day season.  The first prophetic promise YHWH made to Adam and Eve (and a-l-l humankind), was of a future Messiah, and the prophecies are fulfilled in this Holy Day season beginning on the Day of Trumpets.  Many of the Faithful miss the fact that the spiritual symbolism of Yahshua/Jesus is much richer in this Holy Week then the winter Christmas season.  To begin with, scholarly studies point to this time period as the actual time of Christ’s birth, and a Biblical hint is given in John 1:14.  In the verse, the word dwelt is derived from the Hebrew word tabernacle.  Some Bible translations will read “...and tabernacles among us.”  Christ’s-mass is really during this Tabernacles week!

The Tabernacles Holy Days are a time to rejoice because it teaches us about two promised Kingdom rewards – Divine protection and then entering our rewards.  It is the end of the prophecies that YHWH declared from the beginning.  Here during the seven days of the Tabernacles Festival and the Last Great Day, on the eighth-day, is actually a two-stage spiritual lesson.  The first stage, Tabernacles, is when we are under a temporary Divine protection for a short time, while earthly preparations are being made, and the second-stage, the Last Great day, is the 8^th Day is when we physically enter our reward – our new life in the Kingdom.

The Conquering Messiah's Divine Protection

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,

The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,

The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;

And a little child shall lead them.”

- Isaiah 11:6

The prophetic hope of the Messianic Faithful will finally be realized during these Days of Tabernacles.  Sometime in the future, almost tomorrow, humanity will be under the protection of YHWH's Anointed One, as He renews and prepares the earth for planetary peace, protection, and rest, for 1,000 years, generally known as the Millennium Kingdom of the Messiah (Rev.20:4).  

After Yahshuas’ divine judgment, the bigotry, violence, and the guns of war will be silenced, as the righteousness and justice of the Messiah’s Millennium Kingdom will finally be experienced in the world.  In the aftermath of the Great Tribulation and the terrible Battle of Armageddon there will be an enormous need to rebuild a ravaged planet and restore it’s ecosystem.  When the world is in such turmoil from the past seven years of tribulation, there will be a tremendous amount of work needed to restore the basic essentials of food, water, shelter, and to psychologically reassurance to the people.  Yahshua comes to save humanity and protect them while He cleans up the mess of Satan’s planetary war and scorched earth policy.

In the spring, the annual Holy Days officially began on the 15^th day of the 1^st month as YHWH supernaturally protected ancient Israel in their exodus out of the evil Egyptian empire and took them to the “new promised land.”  He saved their physical flesh, their body, their soul, and here on the 15^th day of the 7^th month, YHWH’s Conquering Messiah will save us and keep us under His protection as He makes preparations to have humanity enter the promised land of the Millennium Kingdom.

Yahshua will change the Earth to accommodate the new civilization.  He will lower the mountains, raise the valleys, bring water to the deserts and they will become fertile.  The Dead Sea in Israel will be alive again and filled with a great multitude of fish (Eze.47:9).  He will raise the riches from the oceans (Isa.ch.35).  Even the animal kingdom will experience YHWH's original peaceful form of nature; “…The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox...” (Isa.65:25).  He shall repair the waste cities (Isa.61:4), and He will straighten out the races according to their lands (Isa.27-6; Deu.32:8-9; Act.17:26) – including Israel (Ezk.36:26-28, 47:13-23, 48:1-29). 

We can only wonder how this will really play out.  Yahshua will protect the survivors of the Great Tribulation but how?  The miracles that YHWH and Yahshua can do will always surprise and awe us.  The Bible illustrates this example in the time of Moses when YHWH through Moses freed the Hebrew people from their Egyptian bondage and protected them in the Exodus.  We are assured the in some wondrous awe-inspiring way, Yahshua will protect the new Millennium world citizenship and provide their food, water, and shelters, while He prepares the Earth.  What is even more exciting is to wonder about is how His Bride will help in the process.

“To him who overcomes

I will grant to sit with Me on My throne,

as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

- Revelation 3:21

Sometime in the future, after the thousand years are finished…

YHWH’s Divine Protection

“The world is passing away, and also its lusts;

but the one who does the will of God lives forever”

- 1 John 2:17

 

“…the elements will melt with fervent heat;

both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”

- 2Peter 3:10

During the days of Noah, humanity through the descendents of Cain, and under the influence of the dark angels, became so corrupt that there was no saving them.  It wasn’t just because of their sinful habits it was their DNA that became corrupted through incest and all sorts of sexual perversions.  Satan was proud of his work to foil YHWH’s plan of salvation because a genetically corrupt society could not give birth to YHWH’s Messiah.  Satan knew it, and so did all the intergalactic witness’ of the Kingdom, but YHWH has a plan.  As we all know, along with a boatload of animals, YHWH saved Noah’s family because they were righteous and pure in their genetic heritage.  All the witness’ were surprised and awed how YHWH accomplished this feat.  Now in some awe-inspiring way YHWH will protect the world’s human population who survived Judgment Day while HE cleanses the earth from the Curse of Sin. 

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new,” Rev.21:5.  Sometime in the future, after the 1,000 years are finished, during these days of Tabernacles, a-l-l humanity surviving YHWH'S Great White Throne Judgment, will enter into HIS supernatural protection while the earth is being cleansed from the Curse of Sin – it will be a sight to behold (Rev.21:1).  In a way it will be kind of sad, to see the whole world, as the above quote says, to be renewed by a “fervent heat.”  No more blue earth as the oceans and all the marine and wildlife we know today will be gone, what we will wonder about is what surprises “New Earth” will have in store for us.

for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away…”

Behold, Fireworks Jerusalem Style!

The last act in our CREATOR’S grand spiritual opera begins on the 8th day of the Tabernacles festival called the Last Great Day (Lev.23:36), (Saturday, Oct. 2).  “…and find rest for your souls” (Jer.6:16 ESV), on this Great Last Day we will see the Prophet Jeremiah as we all enter our “rest” together.  This Last Great Day of the Feast is the day when humanity enters their Kingdom rewards.  In ancient Jerusalem, the day was celebrated with the spectacular Festival of Lights emanating from the Temple - it was fireworks Jerusalem style, and a stunning sight to behold.  The Holy Day pictures the ‘last day’ of this earthly existence under the Curse of Sin.  It is a “great day” because we are beginning a new life.  (For the Festival of Lights info, log on to: http://www.homeworship101.com/fyi_two_candles.htm )

The Messiah’s Millennium Kingdom

 

“…They shall beat their swords into plowshares,

And their spears into pruning hooks;

Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,

Neither shall they learn war anymore.”

- Isaiah 2:4

 On this day, under the Messiah, the surviving nations will return to their lands and humanity will enter the Millennium Age of the Messiah (Rev.20:4).  Knowing that Christ had a 3½ year ministry and was put to death on Passover, it is believed that He began His ministry with His stunning proclamation on the last day of this Holy week.  The Apostle John records in 7:37, “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Yahshua stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”  Yahshua’s symbolism was loaded with meaning to the Jews who witnessed it.  The tragedy today is that most in the church haven’t got a clue – but soon all the world will drink of Yahshua’s Divine wisdom and the result will be a thousand years of universal prosperity, and happiness (Jer.31:12-14; Jon.10:10; 3Jon.2),

A perfect and just peace will flow from Jerusalem called "the City of Peace" because the Prince of Peace will rule forever (Joe.2:28-29; Isa.2:2-4,19:23-25; Mic.4:1-3).  Jerusalem, as YHWH sees it, is the city at the center of the world, and it was the capital city of Israel since the time of King David.  This will be the capital of the Messiah's new world (Ps.2:6; Isa.60:5).  The world's riches are His (Hag.2:8) to be displayed for the entire world in the newly built Millennium Temple in which He will dwell. 

Believers are ‘present in the flesh,’ but do not live ‘according to the flesh.’  When a person acknowledges the CREATOR instead of the self, then one commits to a higher Law.  In other words, Believers, even though they live under mans law, submit themselves to the higher Laws of our CREATOR.  This is a form of theocracy, which means YHWH-GOD directly ruling HIS people, just as HE did starting in the time of Moses.

In the eleventh century B.C.E., about 500 years after Moses, the Israelites rejected YHWH’s rule over them and asked the prophet Samuel to appoint them a human king modeled after their pagan neighbors. In 1Samuel ch.8, YHWH gives the people one final warning as to what this type of government would do to them, and the key word is 'take.'  This type of government will always 'take' more then it gives.  Unfortunately, the people were seduced by the dark side and rejected HIS warning.  This will now change. 

“...the government will be on His shoulder…   

Of the increase of His government and peace, 

there will be no end...”

- Isaiah 9:6

Remember, YHWH used the prophet Daniel to interpret a prophecy outlining the superpower human governments and the coming government of YHWH.  The prophecy reveals that the conquering Messiah will destroy this entire system of human governments.  Then man’s governments will be replaced by the Kingdom/Government of YHWH, headed by the Messiah, as King of kings ruling all the Earth (Dan.ch.2, and a corresponding vision in ch.7).

Culturally, governments of humanity will reset to the time before the ancient Israelites rejected YHWH’s system as told in 1Samuel ch.8.  As in the Book of Judges, it will be a government based on the revolutionary Protestant concept: That YHWH directly empowers the people instead of a king.  And what YHWH directly gives, no man can take away.  The dusty statue books that control us today will be gone in a world in which the people will finally accept their responsibility of GOD-given freedom.

From the Millennium Temple complex, Yahshua will rule as Judge, King, Teacher, Shepherd, and Redeemer, of the new world by a divine government - a Theocracy - the Kingdom of YHWH ruling over humans with righteousness, holiness, mercy and goodness for the benefit of all Humanity.  A government has laws and so will it be in the Millennium Kingdom.  Yahshua Himself stated: "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.  For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled," Matthew 5:16-17.  The original Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule, and Laws of YHWH given to Moses will still be in effect, thankfully, the penalties for transgression will not be as harsh as it was in the Old Testament times.

YHWH’s Eternal Kingdom

 

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

- 1Corinthians 2:9

The Immortal Spirit Body is how the Jerusalem Church will be outfitted for eternal life.  An immortal body is real, and occupies time and space, yet the body can pass through an object, or pick up the object.  Although transformed, people retain the unique characteristics and features they had in their early human life, but without any of the birth defects or deformities. 

A hint to what the immortal body is like was show to us by Yahshua.  After His ascension on the Day of Firstfruits, He returned to earth and made His first resurrected public appearance.  Here the immortal spirit body was shown to the Believers while Yahshua stayed on earth for about forty days counseling His Disciples (Mat.28:1-10; Mar.16:1-18; Luk.24:1-43; Jon.20:1-10).  The Disciples gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb, and He took it and ate in their presence (Luk.24:42-43).  In John 21:9-13, He fixed breakfast for His Disciples, yet He could walk through a door (Luk.20:26).  And He is able to subdue all things to Himself (Phi.3:20-21).   

“…the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying,

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,

and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.

God Himself will be with them and be their God.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;

there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.

There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

- Revelation 21:2-4

Sometime in the future, after the Millennium rule, on this Holy Day, humanities new home, a New Jerusalem will descend to earth from the Heavens, bringing our FATHER'S Kingdom back to recreated earth for eternity (Rev.ch.21-22).  Our CREATOR YHWH, and our Messiah Yahshua, will finally dwell amongst the creation.  We are immortal!  And we are 21 again!  What a Great Day it really is!!! 

“Then He said to me, "It is done.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end

I will give to the one who thirsts 

from the spring of the water of life without cost.

He who overcomes will inherit these things, 

and I will be his God and he will be My son.”

- Revelation 21:6-7

~ In Closing…  ~

“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! 

How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!

For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven,

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;

I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north;

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,

I will be like the Most High.” 

- Isaiah 14:12-14

The great galactic conflict began when Lucifer planned an interstellar governmental coup d’etat.  He convinced a third of the angels to follow him in a sinful rebellion against the Government of YHWH (Eze.28:12-17; Luk.10:18; Jud.6).  With Lucifer’s ambitious plans begins the titanic spiritual war of the Heavenly Powers for the control of the universe, including this part of the galaxy. 

Fortunately, YHWH’S loyal angels defeated the rebellious angels, but they were not destroyed.  In the court of the Heavenly beings, Lucifer was called to YHWH’s Great White Throne Room and give account of his actions.  YHWH is not a dictator and HE does not use HIS authority as a club, but HIS word is final; and for HIS council HE is surrounded by “four and twenty elders” all dressed in white (Rev.4:2-11; Book of Enoch, from the Lost Books of the Bible).

The Power of Light emanating from the Throne seems brighter than the sun and creates a rainbow around it.  The voice of YHWH is like the thunder of the heavens and any mortal witness to such a spectacle would naturally become afraid and tremble with great terror.  But Lucifer is no mortal and he has been here many times before in his long career of service to the Kingdom.  An eerie silence falls over the Room as all are attentive to the proceedings, we can only imagine the presentation Lucifer made in his own defense (I would not attempt to describe what was said, in my current state of ignorance my feeble human version would only offend him - and I am cautious not to do that).  His argument must have been brilliant and compelling, after all, he did convince a third of the angels to follow him and now he explains his point of view for all in the Kingdom to hear. 

The Bible does not state that the angels ever repented after their rebellion.  Possibly, once changed to evil characters, they cannot be changed back.  Listening to the proceedings YHWH is not swayed, HE knows Lucifer’s approach to a different form of government will not work.  But, there must have been some discussion by the Council of the Elders to allow Lucifer a limited time and limited area to test-market his program.

YHWH knows some lessons have to be lived in order to be learned.  YHWH could have easily shouted down Lucifer’s argument and destroyed him along with his rebellious angels, but YHWH is not a dictator, and the citizens of HIS Kingdom are not a race of mute obedient robots.  So YHWH agrees to a test-market for Lucifer and sets the ground rules.  YHWH renamed Lucifer “Satan,” pronounced Saw-tawn, which means adversary (Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary #7854), and removes his bright and glorious nature.  YHWH then ordains that Satan and his fallen dark angels still have limited powers and limited access to the heavenlies. 

That was the beginning, the alpha, of the spiritual story, and now, thankfully, we are at the end, the omega.  YHWH guided us through the lessons of the knowledge of good and evil which were clearly witnessed by all the citizens of the Kingdom, and we humans were the victims to the facts that Satan’s way leads to horrible torture, suffering, death and destruction, not only for humanity, but for the animal kingdom, and for the earth as well – this is clearly not the formula for an eternal kingdom and life.  We humans learned these spiritual lessons first hand, and many of us living during the Age of Grace believed in our CREATOR and Messiah without seeing them, earning us a special place in the Kingdom.  YHWH has extraordinary plans for all humanity and our adventure is just beginning.  HalleluYAH!!!

A personal note: I would just like to take this moment to thank you for all your emails of support and sharing your stories – it keeps me going.  The website hits are growing, -and the biggest comment I always receive from readers of my website is that they feel alone in their beliefs, and happy to finally find someone of like mind.  I know how you feel (and so does YHWH, 1Kng.19:18), but someday my friends we will celebrate together in Jerusalem.  Here in the western world, it’s not easy to follow the Holy Days when the rest of the world doesn’t even pay attention or care.  I do not feel superior because I have been called to learn them, I am humbled by it and I feel sad that the rest of the world does not appreciate the spiritual wonders that these Holy Days show us.  It has been a long hard road living in this evil world, but rejoice we have “overcome” and our spiritual journey is almost complete.

bless you, keep you, and shine His love upon you”
