Happy anniversary blessings to Israel! Happy Zionism Day! It’s a gutsy thing to say; thankfully I live in America where I have the right to my humble opinions. But not everybody feels that way. On the Hebrew calendar, Israel’s Independence Day, called in Hebrew “Yom Ha’Atzmaut,” is the 5th day of Iyar 5708, usually around mid April to early May. In the western world’s calendar Israel’s Divine anniversary is May 14th. Most of the world goes by the Gregorian calendar and the problem with calling and observing the anniversary date by the Hebrew calendar is that it becomes an anniversary for Jews only and doesn't get much worldwide publicity. Sadly, even the May 14th date for this Divine anniversary gets little attention. It is an inconvenient anniversary because it points to YHWH’s Divine Hand. Maybe they should have two anniversaries. One for the purists, and one for the rest of the world, because it is the rest of the world that should - and needs - to get used to hearing it and maybe joining in the festivities.

~ The Ancient Land Covenant ~

In this years newsletters we are reviewing YHWH’s Covenants and here on Israel’s Anniversary is a good place to highlight the “Land Covenant” YHWH made with Israel. You might have heard the term “promised land” or “land covenant,” it refers to the lands YHWH promised Israel via HIS Land Covenant. It was established after the forty years of wandering in the desert when the Hebrew people were ready to enter the “promised land” (Num.ch.26-36). Under Moses, the Israelites were one people, subdivided into twelve tribes according to their fathers’ houses which were originally conceived from the descendants of the twelve sons of Isaacs son Jacob (Gen.49:16, 28; Exo.24:4). Standing at the gates of the promised land, Moses hands over leadership to his faithful second in command, Joshua (Deu.34:9).

YHWH then makes another Covenant with the Hebrew people. Part of the Covenant would be conditional, if the Hebrew people lived in the land, they must obey, and as a reward they would be blessed and prosper. If they did not obey, they would be cursed and punished, they would be disbursed, destined to live in other lands running from place to place never having real peace (Deu.28:15-68). It is important to remember the Covenant is not cancelled and the people do not get thrown out of Heaven for disobedience; the people are "Divinely" chastised, punished, forgiven, and then returned to their land.

In reality it’s not easy living under the “letter of the law” and the Hebrew people stumbled. Unfortunately history tells us that the Hebrew people choose the latter option and suffered greatly throughout the centuries. But things are getting better. In spite of great hardships the Judeans - the Jewish people - kept their faith, and today, since 1948, they are living in the age of the regathering. The restoration of the first of Hebrew people, the Judeans, are returning back from over 108 different nations to their ancient homeland and they will not be removed again (Deu.30:10; Eze.37:11-14; Amo.9:13-15).

The Land Covenant recorded in Deuteronomy 29:10-15, 30:11-20. Reaffirms the land given in the Abrahamic Covenant (Gen.15:18). This Covenant and has two aspects.

[A] The Legal aspects that are immediate and conditional, if the children listen and obey (Deu.ch.30).

[B] The Grace aspects are in the future and are unconditional; YHWH will restore Israel (Deu.ch.30).

YAHWEH’S Covenants are not static. They are a series of evolutionary spiritual steps up the mountain of knowledge, and here, the very large spiritual step of “Grace” is introduced. Grace is the advanced virtue of mercy. To this day, this major evolutionary step, from living under the harshness of the letter of the Law, to living under “Grace,” is still a major stumbling block in many religious circles. The popular song “Amazing Grace” stems from this Covenant.

~ That Was Then, This is Now ~

“And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,
which you do well to heed
as a light that shines in a dark place,” - 2Peter 1:19

Then He said to me,

“Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’

Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’” – Ezekiel 11-14

May 14, 1948 when the state of Israel was reborn,
the Dry bones prophecies began their fulfillment.

For the last 2,000+ years the Jews were denied their original homeland and the world generally ignored Jerusalem and ancient Israel. But on May 14, 1948, an event that shocked world happened; it was the great miracle of the rebirth of Israel, and not everyone was pleased. The next day the Arab forces invaded the fledgling state, and as we all know, in spite of overwhelming odds, the Israelites won the war.

The idea of returning the Jewish people to their “ancestral homeland,” is generally called Zionism. The word Zion comes from the Hebrew word, “nyo-Tzi, referring to Jerusalem. The movement began in Europe and the different groups were collectively called “Lovers of Zion. Today there are many forms of Zionism but I deal in the simple basics and the original idea of supporting the Jewish effort to return to their homeland and allow them to live there in peace is the idea I support – and the prophecy seems to support it too. A Covenant once spoken by YHWH, and accepted, is an everlasting document. It is then recorded in the Throne Room of YHWH, witnessed by the Angels of Light, Satan and his angels of darkness.

The Israelites returning to the land didn’t happen because they suddenly all repented, reformed, and became perfect GOD-fearing people. They returned because YHWH deemed it so. Based on the prophecy in Ezekiel 4:3-6, and coupled with Lev.26:18, some Bible scholars, who excel in math, have made the time calculations of Israel’s Divine punishment of their Diaspora, 360 lunar years x 7 = 2,483.8 years. The results are stunning. The prophecy begins at the end of Ancient Israel’s Babylonian captivity in the year 536 BCE. Add to that date the 2,483.8 years, and the total comes out to 1948, the year of end of Israel’s third Diaspora, and the beginning of her new statehood. It is one of the greatest fulfillments of prophecy and covenants in our modern age, Satan would love to destroy them, but their survival clearly shows YHWH’s Divine authority. YHYH prophesized it and YHWH fulfilled it. That is why it’s a fool’s folly to fight against Israel. For those who can see, YHWH’s spiritual lesson of the dispersed Hebrews is concluded. Beginning with the Judean – Jewish – people, Israel is returning, and they will never leave their lands again, they have YHWH’s promise on it (Jer.31:36-37). For those who have a problem with it, GET OVER IT! YHWH Divinely protected the Jewish people during these past centuries of their Diaspora, and HE will protect them now that they are in their land again (Amo.9:14-15). YHWH has decided it, HE has prophesied it, so what’s the point of arguing about it. And quite frankly, arguing over something that YHWH has already decided is a sucker’s bet!

As the saying goes, “Zionism is not only prosperity for Israel, but for the world.” In their short 60+-year history, modern Israel being the only democracy in the Middle East has surpassed it’s surrounding Arab nations that have been in existence for many centuries. In spite of having no oil in their land, their nation is flourishing in agriculture, industry, science, and of course Biblical archeology. ~ Sometime in the future, when the Messiah returns ~

"I will make you as a light for the nations,
that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth..."

Some churches propose the question, “what would Jesus about the Palestinian Sate?” And say, “He would support the idea!” Its really too bad that many mainline Protestant churches never read their front half of their Bibles and are more concerned with political-correct speak instead of what is written.

Yahshua calls Israel His inheritance, he will rule the planet from the throne of David. "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people,” Hebrews 8:10. The covenants that YHWH made with Abraham and Moses, the Kingdom Covenants YHWH made with King David and King Solomon, along with all the prophecies made through the prophets of the Old Testament, will be finally realized in the Millennial Kingdom. These promises of peace, justice, prosperity, and eternal blessings for Israel, and the world, will be fulfilled when the Messiah sets up His throne in Jerusalem.

and they will not again be rooted out from their land
which I have given them, Says the LORD your God”
- Amos 9:15

Ezekiel prophesied of Israel’s restoration in chapter 36:26-28, and their national borders are outlined in chapter 47:13-23. The ten lost tribes will come home, and the division of the land to the 12 Tribes of Israel is stated in chapter 48:1-29. Hosea prophesied that the divorce from YHWH the FATHER would be reconciled (chapter 1:9-10). Yahshua will give them a new heart, forgiveness of sin, and the in-filling of the Holy Spirit to a renewed nation. Isaiah prophesied that Israel would be given a new name chapter 62:4.

The people chosen by YHWH to receive HIS Laws, were commanded to live by example, to display to the other nations of the world the benefits of YHWH's commands and ways of living. Being the chosen ones was a double edge sword for the Hebrew people, as YHWH held them to a higher standard. They suffered many punishments for their transgressions, and because of their destiny, they endured many horrible assaults from the dark powers. Now, they will all be living again in their land under Yahshua as a model society to all the nations of the world. This will be the model society where all the nations will send their delegations to copy and adopt this form of government in their own countries (Isa.42:6). The special 144 thousand people (12 thousand from each tribe), called by Yahshua during the Tribulation Period (Rev.7:1-8) will have some mysterious administrative position in the Israeli governmental hierarchy.

A perfect and just peace will flow from Jerusalem called "the City of Peace" because the Prince of Peace will rule forever (Joe.2:28-29; Isa.2:2-4,19:23-25; Mic.4:1-3.)

~Not Everybody is happy with this arrangement,
and they just want the Hebrew people dead. ~

"They make shrewd plans against your people,
And conspire together against your treasured ones.
They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,
that the name of Israel be remembered no more."
- Psalm 83:3-4

Back in 1948, not everyone appreciated the rebirth of Israel, and they didn’t want to join in any festivities – they wanted to blow them up! Warfare against the young state of Israel began almost immediately. This is not a new experience for Israelites. In 536 B.C. when they returned from their Babylonian captivity they returned to their ancestral homeland with a sword in one hand and a shovel in the other and rebuilt their beloved homeland and Jerusalem, and survived in spite of overwhelming odds.

"Had it not been the LORD who was on our side when men rose up against us,
then they would have swallowed us alive, when their anger was kindled against us"

Through out time the ancient Hebrews, and today’s Jews, have been mostly hated and persecuted (America is the exception where they generally lived peaceful). The Greeks, the Romans, the Catholics, the southern German Catholics during WWII, all had their solutions to the “Jewish problem.” Which basically was some new creative way to butcher them. Throughout time the Jews suffered, and it is a real curiosity that over the centuries, in spite of the bias against them, they still remained distinctly Jewish. I was the first generation born in this country of parents from northern Germany. I know by my younger nieces and nephews that after a couple of generations in this country my family line would forget their German ways (probably the only thing they would know of German is Octoberfest); but not with the Jews, they have kept their unique national heritage through the centuries.

~ What’s the point in arguing over something that has already been decided? ~

Sadly to this day, little has changed we are all very aware of the hateful headlines and problems in the Middle East. Many groups, not only in the Middle East, but also in the west, still accuse Israel (Zionism) for all the ills of the world, and anti-Semitism is boldly rising again. Basically in one form or another it is still the same attitude as it was since the days of Noah, when descendents of the tribe of Shem were hated because they would not join the rest of the world in their effort to build the Satanic Tower of Babel. In ancient times it was the Greeks, today it is the Arabs, throughout history many nations has exercised their solutions to the Jewish problem – yet they (the Judeans) are still here. For those who can see, YHWH is protecting them, and He expects us to do our share by supporting HIS will. Many churches teach replacement theology meaning the church has replaced Israel, they are wrong. The idea stems from the church following the new Covenant (2Cor.3:6), but the church has forgotten that at the end of the New Covenant (Jer.31:31-35), YHWH goes the extra mile to reassure Israel’s future, HE clearly challenges anyone, or anything, to step forward and tell HIM how HE hung the planets, and how HE set the Universe in motion, because that will be the day when Israel will cease to be a nation (Jer.31:35-36). http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=xXWYeekiqwo

We are brothers and sisters in the faith, there is a plan for the Messianic believers, and there is a plan for Israel. For those not blinded by hatred, YHWH is clearly showing HIS presence in the international affairs of humanity. Unfortunate in the end times the Antichrist failures, and the world’s calamities, will be pointed at the Jews, and their persecution will begin again. ~ YHWH’s Promises to Ishmael and his descendents – the Arab people ~

“And as for Ishmael, I have heard you.
Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful,
and will multiply him exceedingly.
He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.”
- Genesis 17:20

Many forget that YHWH made some promises to Ishmael and his descendents which generally are the Arab people today, and it was an easy promise to live with. They would be a blessed people and would prosper. Look at Israel, in order to prosper they have to live to the letter of YHWH’s Laws, and if they messed up there would be suffer terrible hardships. I mean, YHWH blesses them (the Arabs) and will make them a great nation, you would think that would be enough – but no, they chose the sword instead of love and are martyrs of misinformation of hated and killing. What the Arab people should be aware of is that if they are part of the goat nations at the return of the Messiah their Promises from YHWH will not help them Matthew 25:31-46.

May 14^th, should be Zionism Day, but don’t look for any headlines about it. May 14^th is a good day for all Believers to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for all those who stand with Israel (Ps.122).
