On May 14, 1948, the event that shocked world was the great miracle of the rebirth of Israel - not everyone was pleased.  The next day the Arab forces invaded the fledgling state, and as we all know, in spite of overwhelming odds, they won the war.  Based on the prophecy in Ezekiel 4:3-6, and coupled with Lev.26:18, some Bible scholars, who excel in math, have made the time calculations of Israel’s Divine punishment - 360 lunar years x 7 = 2,483.8 years.  The results are stunning.  The prophecy begins at the end of Ancient Israel’s Babylonian captivity in the year 536 BCE.  Add to that date the 2,483.8 years, and the total comes out to May 14, 1948, the end of Israel’s third captivity, and the beginning of her new statehood.  It is one of the greatest fulfillments of prophecy in our modern age, clearly showing YHWH’s Divine authority.

Some people wonder, if GOD is everywhere (omnipresent), then why do so many people have trouble finding HIM?  Some others ask, how can you prove that GOD really exists?  For the last 60+ years the answer is easy, all one has to do is to look to the nation of Israel.  The one and only reason the nation of Israel exists today is because YHWH deemed it so.  It is the single greatest modern example of the truth in Bible prophecy and the existence of our CREATOR YHWH – yet most find it an inconvenient truth and ignore it, or are downright hostile to the idea.  

On the Hebrew calendar, Israel’s Independence Day, called in Hebrew “Yom Ha’Atzmaut,” is the 5th day of Iyar 5708, usually around mid April to early May.  This year their 62^nd anniversary was on April 19.  In the western world Israel’s Divine anniversary is May 14, sadly this date for Israel’s Divine anniversary gets little attention.  Most of the world goes by and acknowledges the Gregorian calendar and the problem with calling and observing the anniversary date by the Hebrew calendar is that it becomes an anniversary for Jews only and doesn't get much worldwide publicity.  It is an inconvenient anniversary because it points to YHWH’s Divine Hand in the world.  Maybe they should have two anniversaries.  One for the purists, and one for the rest of the world, because it is the rest of the world that should - and needs to - get used to hearing it and maybe joining in the festivities.

Imagine,

being the personal friend of YAHWEH.

Some people wonder, how did this all start?  The short answer is that the Jewish people are just victims of genetic circumstance.  YHWH has proclaimed that HE will chose a group of people (from the genetic linage of Adam, Noah, Shem, known as the Shemites), though which HE will fulfill HIS Covenants with a-l-l humanity.  Satan wants to prevent that, so he tries to destroy the people YHWH chose, which would prevent YHWH’s Covenant from being fulfilled – it’s nothing personal, just business.  The group of people that YHWH chose was collectively know as the Hebrew people, the Israelites, or today the remnant of the Hebrew people is called the Jewish people. 

In this year’s newsletters have been writing about the original meaning of Hebrew, meaning to cross over, as in crossing over from this evil world, promising death and destruction, to following YHWH Ancient Path of perfect harmony and eternal life.  I make the argument that any worldwide believer in YHWH becomes Hebrew, but here the Israelites became the first community of people to follow YHWH and the word Hebrew took on an ethnic meaning, and its original, more universal meaning faded away in time.

Today’s Hebrew nation began long ago with one man and one woman who were coincidently gentiles, and they were personals friends of YHWH.  The man was called Abraham, he was a Shemite, pure in his genetic heritage, and his wife was called Sarai.  Abraham was a sinner, a bit of a rogue and con man, but he got points for original thinking.  He had the chutzpah to bargain with GOD, and his life is recorded in Genesis ch.11-25.  He also was a man of great faith and he lived life by two great commandments, he loved and honored YAHWEH, and he showed love and compassion for his neighbors – even if he didn’t like them very much.  “He was called a friend of GOD” (Jas.2:23). 

Hebrews ch.11 gives the definition of faith, and Abraham gets a big write up, verse 8-19.  He proved his faith when He left his homeland for a new land based only on YAHWEH’S command.  He confirmed his faith by “offering up” his full blood son Isaac.  Abraham also showed compassion to, and even helped, those neighbors whom he did not like very much.  When Abraham’s nephew Lot was taken captive by an invading army, Abraham went straight to his aid.  With 318 properly trained servants and faith in YAHWEH, Abraham accomplished what five kings and their armies could not do.  He rescued his family and many Sodomites in the process (Gen.14:1-16).  Abraham was becoming rich and famous, and after successfully driving off the invading armies he gained the reputation as a military hero.  As he returned victorious from battle, the local king of Sodom went out to meet him in an effort to strike an alliance with him.

You go your way, I’ll go YAHWEH.

The king of Sodom subscribed to the dark Babylonian order, Abraham was a wise spiritual discerner and was able to recognize the false blessings offered by the king.  He very decidedly denied any relationship to be developed.  This was a turning point in the battle between good and evil, Abraham refused the wealth and prestige offered by Satan’s disciple and turned to another mysterious king and tithed some of his riches to that order.

That person was the “Hebrew” King-Priest Melchizedek, the King of Salem and “the Priest of the most high GOD.”  He received Abraham, and presented him with two items prophetically pointing to the salvation of the Messiah, bread and wine.  Then Melchizedek blessed both GOD and Abraham (Gen.14:18).

Abraham - a gentile - was the first person to do the Holy Land tour, and YAHWEH was his personal tour-guide (Gen.13:14-17).  In Abraham’s life we see the first examples of the Rites of the Jerusalem Church: Bread and wine, GODLY hospitality, Angels helping the faithful, the laying on of hands, bestowing blessings, anointing, and the theocratic Covenants.

~ Zionism Day ~

Not everyone appreciated the rebirth of Israel, and they didn’t want to join in any festivities – they wanted to blow them up!  Warfare against the young state of Israel began almost immediately.  Sadly to this day, little has changed.  Many groups, in the west and middle-east, still accuse Israel (Zionism) for all the ills of the world, and anti-Semitism is boldly rising again.  Basically in one form or another it is still the same attitude as it was since the days of Noah, when his descendents of the tribe of Shem, would not join the rest of the world in their effort to build the Satanic Tower of Babel.  Yesterday it was the Greeks today it is the Arabs, throughout history many nations has exercised their solutions to the Jewish problem – yet they are (the Judeans) are still here.  For those who can see, YHWH is protecting them, and He expects us to do our share by supporting HIS will.  Many churches teach replacement theology (the church replaces Israel), they are wrong.  We are brothers and sisters in the faith, there is a plan for the Messianic believers, and there is a plan for Israel.   

~ Prophecy foretold of Israel’s rebirth ~

“And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,

which you do well to heed

as a light that shines in a dark place,” - 2Peter 1:19

Then He said to me,

“Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’

Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’” – Ezekiel 11-14

May 14, 1948 when the state of Israel was reborn,

the Dry bones prophecies began their fulfillment.

The Israelites returning to the land didn’t happen because they suddenly all repented, reformed, and became perfect GOD-fearing people.  They returned because YHWH deemed it so.  That is why it’s a fool’s folly to fight against Israel.  For those who can see, YHWH’s spiritual lesson of the dispersed Hebrews is concluded.  Beginning with the Judean – Jewish – people, Israel is returning, and they will never leave their lands again.  They have YHWH’s promise on it (Jer.31:36-37).  For those who have a problem with it, GET OVER IT!  YHWH Divinely protected the Jewish people during these past centuries of their Diaspora, and HE will protect them now that they are in their land again (Amo.9:14-15).  YHWH has decided it, HE has prophesied it, so what’s the point of arguing about it?!  And quite frankly, arguing over something that YHWH has already decided is a sucker’s bet! 

In their short 60+-year history, modern Israel being the only democracy in the Middle East has surpassed it’s surrounding Arab nations that have been in existence for many centuries.  In spite of having no oil in their land, their nation is flourishing in agriculture, industry, science, and of course Biblical archeology.  If the local Arabs would learn to work with the Jews instead of learning how to hate them, they all would be embarrassingly wealthy.

Unfortunately, today the western political will seems to be shifting against Israel and is pushing to divide the nation.  The move to pressure Israel to give their lands to set up a Palestinian state is growing momentum.  Their vision is the have separate Israeli and Palestinian states, living side by side in peace – Bible readers know that there will be no real peace.  The truth is that dividing Israel is a bad idea because those nations who go against Israel will lose their blessing from YHWH.

~ World Anti-Semitism ~

What’s the point in arguing over something that has already been decided?

“As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem;

defending also He will deliver it; and passing over He will preserve it.”

- Isaiah 31:5

Throughout time the ancient Hebrews and today’s Jews, have been mostly hated and persecuted (America is the exception where they generally lived peacefully).  The Greeks, the Romans, the early Roman Catholics, the southern German Catholics during WWII, all had their solutions to the “Jewish problem,” which basically was some new creative way to butcher them.   Throughout time the Jews suffered, and it is a real curiosity that over the centuries, in spite of the bias against them, they still remained distinctly Jewish.  I was the first generation born in this country of parents from northern Germany.  I know by my younger nephews that after a couple of generations in this country my family line would forget their German ways (probably the only thing they would know of Germany is Oktoberfest); but not with the Jews, they have kept their unique national heritage through the centuries.  For those not blinded by hatred, YHWH is clearly showing HIS presence in the international affairs of humanity.  Unfortunately, in the end-times the antichrist’s failures and the world’s calamities will be pointed at the Jews being the problem.  The antichrist will use them as a scape-goat, and their persecution will begin again.  Learn more: http://www.homeworship101.com/bbc-9_prophecy_trib03A.htm

Bible Prophecy foretells of anti-Semitism rising in the last days. Today there is a whole cottage industry around anti-Semitism (hatred or dislike for the Jewish people, and or their right to their homeland), and it is the warm-up act for the future persecutions.  News reports regularly tell the story of rising anti-Semitism around the world.  The globalization of anti-Semitism as they call it is helped along by the Internet.  There are even thousands of anti-Semitism videos on websites like Youtube.  Then there is the “New anti-Semitism,” European anti-Semitism, Arab/Muslim anti-Semitism, Christian anti-Semitism, “Campus anti-Semitism,” and there is even anti-Semitism for Dummies.  Oy vey.  Why is there so much dislike and hatred against a simple ethnic group of people?  One can’t help but wonder, there are thousands of ethnic groups in the world but only the Jews are hated through time.  Everybody is entitled to an opinion, but arguing about it is a suckers bet.  YHWH has already decided what will happen to Israel.  YHWH will watch over them and guide them, and no mere mortal or angel can do anything about it.     

Here is an odd thought to ponder: Today’s term “anti-Semitic” has ancient roots going back to Noah’s righteous son Shem and his descendants.  They were hated, hunted, and murdered, because they would not go along with the majority of the population who where building the Satanically inspired tower of Babel (Gen.ch.10-11).  The Shemites made up the white race, and the term anti-Semitic actually means anti-White.  Language can be maddening!

~ Hebrew Messianic Prophecies and Israel ~

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree:

When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves,

you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you,

this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

But as the days of Noah were,

so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

We have seen Israel reborn and we are watching the signs – the Bride is ready.  When I say end-times I mean the transition period from this Age of Grace to the Return of the – real - Messiah and His Millennium Kingdom.  I was talking to a Jewish lady a while ago and she told me that she always prays for world peace. I commented that that was very ambitious.  She said she longs for that day because when there is world peace then the Messiah will appear.  I commented, that I thought it was odd that we Christians learn something totally opposite; the warring nations of the world would cause the destruction of the earth unless the Messiah returns to save us from our annihilation.  I’m thinking in the back of my head uh-oh, the Jews are getting set up.  They will welcome the peace proposing antichrist with open arms, unfortunately it is a false peace they are buying into.  Learn more: http://www.homeworship101.com/bb-c9_prophecy_trib02B.htm

~ Ground Zero in End-times Prophecy - Jerusalem ~

“And it shall happen in that day

that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples;

all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces,

though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” - Ezekiel 12:3

Ground Zero of the Apocalypse is Jerusalem.  It is the center of our prophecy radar.  Sometimes when I talk about prophecy, some folks just roll their eyes and give me a condescending smirk.  Then I ask them, “In the Bible written 2500 years ago, the Prophet Zechariah clearly wrote in 12:3 “…I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples…all nations of the Earth are gathered against it.”  I ask, “Have you seen the current news on Jerusalem?  Who else but YHWH could make such a prediction?  Can you name any swami today who could predict what city, 2500 years from now will be central in a world conflict?”

Some Bible prophecies have a worldwide effect, but most of the prophecies relate to Israel, Jerusalem, and the surrounding Middle East.  For those who can see, there are many prophecies unfolding in our generation.  The initial Tribulation prophecies which set the stage for the arrival of the Conquering Messiah would be the same as it was for the Suffering Messiah: The first sign: A remnant of the Israelite nation must be in Jerusalem.  The second sign: The Jerusalem Temple needs to be up and running.  Because this would make “the way” ready for the promised Messiah (Dan.9:24-26).  But before that happens, a false Christ (Satan) will step in and will want the worlds worship for himself.  Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, log on for the full story: http://www.homeworship101.com/bbc-9_prophecy_trib03A.htm

May 14^th, should be Zionism Day, but don’t look for any headlines about it.  May 14^th is a good day for all Believers to all pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for all those who stand with Israel (Ps.122).
