Holy
Day Greetings from HomeWorship 101™
The
Biblically Holy Day of Pentecost,
called in Hebrew, Shavuot, is this Sunday, June 4, 2006 (Lev.23:15-22).
It is a time of a festive atmosphere because it is the day
of new revelations from YAHWEH!
Generally on this Holy Day Christians celebrate
the giving of the Holy Spirit (Heb. Ruach HaKodesh). The prophecies of YHWH were fulfilled when supernatural event
of the Ruach HaKodesh / Holy Spirit was sent to humanity is described in
Acts ch. 2. But the giving
of the Ruach HaKodesh is not the only supernatural event to have happened on
this day. In ancient times
this Holy Day called in Hebrew Shavuot, celebrated the revelations of
YHWH’s Laws given to Moses on Mount Sinai, which signifies the birth
of the Hebrew Church (Exo.19:11). Many
centuries later, just as prophecy foretold, and as the Christians know,
on this same day the giving of the Holy Spirit signifies the birth of
the Hebrew Messianic Church (Act.ch.2).
(Here is an interesting point for the thinking person to ponder:
I always thought it was odd that I would get letters from Christians
telling me the Holy Days in Leviticus ch.23 are only for the Jews, but
this “Christian holiday” is really celebrating a Biblical Holy Day
listed in Leviticus and no one seems to notice how they pick and chose
what they want to follow in the Bible.)
GOD allows u-turns! This Holy Day also signifies the beginning of the Age
of Grace. The Age of Grace is the
vehicle, and the Holy Spirit is the power, by which YAHWEH
can now set aside the death penalty for sin.
Now a-l-l humanities’ sin can be forgiven, it is not a license
to sin, they must still learn not to sin (Rom.6:1). It is a spiritual concept first given in the Sixth
Covenant, but it was one of those Heavenly mysteries until now.
The
Age of Grace began by the death of an innocent perfect sacrifice.
Now is the time for a-l-l the humans of the planet Earth to
spiritually grow and learn (repentance is still necessary to grow and
learn 1Jno.1:9). The
Believers sin is forgiven and they are judged only for their good works
in the service of the righteous Kingdom. See my Mystery
of the Bride web page.
In
ancient times, the Law was written in hard stone. Now,
the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit, writes it on our warm hearts.
And the Gospel lesson of Grace is: Don't judge and condemn too
quickly. If some have a
change of heart, and wants to change their ways, we should learn to
forgive and show Grace, which is the advanced trait of mercy.
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,” Galatians
5:22-23. The power of the
Holy Spirit is our human spirit helper - if you let it.
And it is our spirit guide - if you let it.
YAHWEH will use it to develop HIS character of righteousness in
you - if you let it. It is the Believer’s inner strength and wisdom - if you
know how to use it. The
Holy Spirit stirs and grows when you do good to others, and it withers
when one drifts from YHWH righteous ways.
The best parable of this is in The Shepherd Of Hermas -
Third Book: Parable/Similitude VIII, log on: http://www.homeworship101.com/bb-c12_judgment_day.htm.
- “if thou wilt enter
life, keep the commandments."
- -Yahshua/Jesus, Matthew
19.17
- The above quote seems straightforward and
easy to understand,
- so what’s the point of arguing about
something that has already been decided?
[I
know I have said that before, I think I’ll try to put together the top
ten spiritual points that there is no point in arguing about.
Any suggestions? What’s
your favorite no-brainer spiritual truth?
Send them to me, I would appreciate everybody’s input.]
“Christians, who claim the promise of GOD,
should obey the Commandments of GOD.”
Yet, many theologians would say the Law has been relaxed in this
Age, this is simply not true, if anything, personal discipline just got
a little harder. This is
actually the next level in the Jerusalem Higher School of Learning,
where humanities next lesson is to learn to control the mind,
along with the body. The
Old Testament Law was of the body, now in the New Covenant there is the
spirit of the Law.
It
is part of the believer’s covenant obligation to obey the commandments.
YHWH’s main Laws are known generally as the Commandments,
(there are 613 Laws in the Torah, but the main commandments are YHWH’s
seven Commands given to Noah which apply all humanity, and YHWH’s ten
Commands given to Moses are for those who follow the narrower path of
the higher Covenants). Many
get a little weak kneed when I talk about obeying YHWH’s Laws and I
always get letters telling me I’m getting legalist in my theology
(GOD-talk). Law vs. Grace is an age-old argument. It is true, no one can keep the Law perfectly,
and Grace, which faith leads us to, saves us.
But I always ask, does an unrepentant murder get a free pass into
heaven just because he or she believes?
Skip to the end of the Biblical story, Rev.20:12-13 judged by
works, 21:7-8, (in this verse I always wondered who the cowardly are
that do not make it), and 22:14-16, at least three times HE reminds us
to hold to the righteous path.
In
the time of Noah, before there was any religion
there was the Rainbow Covenant, and from it Noah preached to a-l-l the
generations after the flood what is today called the seven Noahic Laws.
The Orientals, the blacks, the whites, everyone with a belly
button, all learned the same seven Commands which formed the successful
building blocks for the new world communities.
Later in time, YHWH chose Moses to give the Ten Commandments to
his Hebrew church, and Yahshua did not do away with His FATHER’s Laws,
He endorsed them for his Messianic church.
Sometimes believers forget that not everyone applies themselves
to the narrower path of the higher Covenants, one must remember that
most of the world lives under the Rainbow Covenant and the Noahic Laws

Some people call me legalistic,
but they don’t get it. The
Ten Commandments are still in effect, and they give us freedom.
This is not a modern concept, in
ancient China, Confucius sought to transmit the wisdom of the ancient
sages. Opposite of the
Roman ways, Confucius and his disciples distrusted written laws. He felt that a dusty statute book was too inflexible to
handle the infinite variety of human experience.
He chose to trust people, not laws, and taught a philosophy of
personal virtue, devotion to family and social justice, and to rely on
innate human goodness as the best guarantee of a civil society. He was probably closer to the Biblical mark of the Noadic
Covenant teachings, than most give him credit for. The reasoning for a moral personal and community
philosophy is simple, the more moral the society, the less community
laws are needed to govern or control them.
In others words, our FATHER'S few simple Laws give us freedom
from the millions of laws in mankind's dusty statue books.
A good current day example can be seen in
the Hasidic Jews who run the diamond trade.
Regardless of what you think of jewelry business or the Hasidic
Jews, it is how they run their diamond business that is interesting.
Individuals buy the raw stones, cut them into beautiful gemstones
and sell them to retailers. They
trade diamonds worth hundreds of thousands of dollars at a time.
They negotiate their prices and seal the transaction with a
simple handshake. Instead
of volumes of law books, all their business is based on honor and trust
as taught in the Torah. There
is no thievery, no murder, and no going back on their words, and it
works for them because they honor and respect YHWH, and in turn act
honorably with each other because they know YHWH is watching.
The Messianic church should know this because sometime in the
future during the Millennial rule of the Messiah I am pretty sure that
that is model on how people will conduct their business and trade.
The church should know this because we will be helping Messiah
Yahshua/ Jesus administer His Millennium
Rule.
The
Greatest Commandment – the Golden Rule.
This Holy Day celebrates YHWH’s Laws and
at the very least, this Holy Day should be universally know as
“the Golden Rule Day” because the Golden Rule sums up all of our
CREATOR’s Laws. Much
has been written regarding the Law, but I specialize in the short
version. The bottom-line
Law governing all interstellar relations with angels, humans, or
otherwise, is the Golden Rule. It
is universal, and putting it into practice is the height of spiritual
maturity. Satan has
engineered many religious walls and divisions among the faithful, but
a-l-l humanity has our CREATOR and the Golden Rule in common - even
those who do not believe. I
have listed them all on my website, with a short history, and some
notable quotes. Log on:

It will be a long summer growing season
under this Age of Grace. The
faithful are always longing for the coming of the Messiah to usher in
the Kingdom of peace, but this Age remains open to collect as many
believers as possible. "The
Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but
is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that
all should come to repentance," 2Pet.3:9.
- “Blessed
are those who do His commandments,
- that
they may have the right to the tree of life,
- and
may enter through the gates into the city.
- But
outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral
- and
murderers and idolaters,
- and
whoever loves and practices a lie.” Revelation 22:14-15
Please
remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for all those who stand
with Israel (Ps.122).
- Wishing
all a blessed Holy Day, Errol.
